BOTTRELL IN CANADA, BOTTRELL IN UNITED STATES, BOTTERILL IN AUSTRALIA, BOTTRILL IN NEW ZEALAND.

BOTTRELL IN CANADA, BOTTRELL IN UNITED STATES, BOTTERILL IN AUSTRALIA, BOTTRILL IN NEW ZEALAND.

As I've said in bottrillfamilyhistory.com,rhe problem with North America is that the family has spread so widely and under so many different jurisdictions. It's possible to find some of the original emigrants through he name of the ship, but that doesn't get you very far since you don't know where they ended up.
The Bottrill family in Australia and New Zealand is slightly easier, and I have a brief history of one branch.
What's really needed is some industrious soul to be willing to accept any tree that's known, and try to put the whole thing together.
But that's not all - the family has spread to countries in South America and other places too. I shall try to make some contacts.

BOTTRILL IN ENGLAND, AUSTRALIA, CANADA, UNITED STATES

BOTTRILL IN ENGLAND, AUSTRALIA, CANADA, UNITED STATES

'Bottrill' is a fairly common spelling in Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Yorkshire. You tend to get 'Boterell', 'Botterel' and 'Bottrell' in Shropshire, where Aston Boterell is named after the family.
There are few of us left in Cornwall now, so Boscastle (Botereles Castel) is no longer held by the family. 'Botteril' is more common in Australia, while the US has both 'Bottrill' and 'Bottrell'.
Americans may be interested in the George Washington connection.
